Sealer acts as a coating for your asphalt pavement, blocking out the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays, preventing moisture penetration from the elements, and helping to prevent oxidation. In addition, a good quality sand-mix sealer fills small cracks in your pavement's surface. When applied in conjunction with a hot rubberized crack sealing program, the pavement's natural deterioration rate drops dramatically.

EastCoat always applies one solid coat of sealer by hand when working on driveways. Rarely, a second coat may be recommended at the time of estimate for driveways in rough condition.

Some contractors may try to sell you on the benefits of a sprayed application vs squeegeed. We’ve found the quality of a hand squeegeed driveways to be superior and in most cases that is what we recommend. It takes time to get quality results, and some contractors just aren't willing to put in the time.
